나의 이야기, 나와 너 그리고 우리의 이야기입니다.
오랜 과거의 시간부터 현재까지 무수한 날들 속에서 가족, 친구, 선후배 그리고 좋았던, 싫었던 미미하게라도 마주한 인연의 관계가 빚어낸 찬란한 시간이 있었기에 지금의 내가 있음을 의심하지 않습니다. 관계 속에서 생성된 희로애락의 순간을 긍정적 사고를 바탕으로 중의적 의미와 함께 바람 불어 좋은 날, 화장대, 인연 시리즈에 유쾌하고 담담하게 담았습니다.
나는 나 그리고 너 우리가 미소 짓고 행복해지는 그림을 그리고 싶습니다. 감사로 인한 행복을 담고 싶습니다. 죽어도 좋을 만큼 기뻐서도 또 즐거워 행복의 최고 정점을 찍어서도 아닙니다. 삶의 여정에서 매 순간 마주하는 관계에 대한 정화(淨化)이고 주어지는 소소한 기쁨에 대한 감사의 표현입니다. 긍정의 삶, 감사하는 삶, 그로 인해 커지고 더 넓어지는 행복의 감정을 투영하는 것입니다. 자신감을 잃지 않고 자아를 실현하며 작업을 통해 나 자신도 행복을 느끼고 바라보는 이들 또한 행복한 사람임을 깨닫는 공감하는 그림을 그리고 싶습니다. 작고 소소한 기쁨으로 그 반대의 것을 이길 수 있다면 나도 당신도 참 행복한 사람입니다. 인디와 꽃, 색동에 부여하는 의미처럼 나와 당신이 걷는 길이 희망으로 가득 차고 행복이 가득한 복된 꽃길이길, 바람 불어 좋은 날 되길 기원하며 미소 짓는 행복한 시간이 되길 바랍니다.

It is my story. It is your story. It is ours.
From distant days long past to this very moment, I do not doubt that I stand here thanks to the brilliant time shaped by countless relationships: family, friends, seniors and juniors, and even the briefest encounters, whether cherished or difficult. Each connection has carved joy and sorrow into my life, and through those experiences, I became who I am today. With a spirit rooted in gratitude and optimism, I captured the many emotions born in relationships in my series On a Breezy Day, Vanity Table, and Destiny. These works embrace the lightness and sincerity of those moments, carrying layered meanings beneath their calm and playful surfaces. I wish to paint images that make you and me smile, that invite happiness. I wish to portray gratitude, not joy so overwhelming one might die from it, not exhilaration at the highest peak of happiness. Rather, this is a cleansing of the heart that occurs through the relationships encountered along life’s journey, a gentle expression of appreciation for the small joys offered to us.
It is a reflection of a life lived with positivity and thankfulness, where happiness grows wider and deeper. I hope never to lose confidence, to realize myself through my work, and through that process feel happiness, inspiring those who view these paintings to discover their own joy.
If small, humble joys can overcome the shadows and sorrows in life, then both you and I are truly blessed. Like the meanings carried by indigo, flowers, and striped hanbok colors, may the path we walk be filled with hope and happiness. May gentle winds greet us on our way, and may this moment be one where we smile together.
